The purpose of the Gameplay Panorama is to analyze
gameplay mechanisms used in reference titles for studios or publishers
designing games in a genre with which they are not familiar.
It addresses the following questions:

strengths and weaknesses of the various gameplay mechanisms
(interface, camera management, etc.) used in the genre ?

How can a new concept
be differentiated from existing titles while maintaining the
players’ expectations for a given genre ?

following strategies should be followed in order to manage the key
parameters for the level design: Difficulty, pace and the renewal of
the player’s experience ?
